Top: Anthro. Pant: Abercrombie&Fitch (circa 1998?). F21 Necklace and Boots. Modcloth bag. |
Those of you who know me well and are reading this (hi, friend) are aware that this is a strange outfit for two reasons- (why does it always seem like there's 2 reasons?)
1.) I don't usually wear khaki-colored pants in real life. I think the aversion to khaki comes from:
a.) attending a Catholic grade school where the only shorts available were, you guessed it, khaki.
b.) (again, a 2nd reason) I've worked at the same coffee shop for the last 10 years (my other job. Read here for job #1.), and one of the 2 pant options are... hey you're getting good at this, KHAKI.
2.) I rarely carry a black bag. Heck, I rarely match my bag with my shoes and belt either. I don't know, it's just so boring. And predictable.
But honestly, here's how this ensemble came into being: I threw the pants, shoes, and belt on around 4:15 this morning to go make coffee for the masses. And I'm planning on wearing this top as a dance class layer tonight. So there you have it, 2 jobs meet in one outfit.
I would like to give a shout-out to good ol' Mister Sunshine for being here today. Hey, you should stick around all week long. Just saying.
Thanks for the explanation. I was veeeery concerned about the belt matching the shoes and the bag...not to mention the khaki pants! But you're not boring or predictable, so don't worry. In fact, this outfit is rather unpredictable of you :)
