Wait, Didn't I Just Wear This?

It's true.  I feel like every outfit I make these days is a remix of the ones before it.

  

But you know, with my body changing shape every day (grow, baby, grow!), it's way easier to grab separates I know work for my new proportions rather than spend, oh, I don't know, a million hours trying to find fresh pieces that will create that next perfect ensemble.  So sorry for the repetition.  But then again, it is a lot of fun to remix...

That's right friends.  I did it-
This blouse.  That dress.  And I made it work.

Well, at least I think I did.
And fashion's all about confidence, right?

True, it's a little bit of a crazy outfit.  But I've been feeling a bit crazy myself lately.

Ok friends.  Even I had doubts about sticking to no plaid for today's Monday mix.  

I mean, for goodness sake, every top I wore last week was plaid.  And I'm not about to create some sort of topless Monday Mix.  ewwww.

But, ah- ha!  Remember how I layered a striped shirt under Wednesday's plaid?  

No? you don't?  

What? you're not paying attention to every single detail of my outfits?

How dare you.

Well, no matter.  I remembered.  Luckily.

Why hello!
Here I am again wearing the dress I swore I'd remix a million times this summer.
As you can see, I have not quite hit that goal.  But I'm cool with that.

To recap, here is the first take.
And this is the second go-around.

Today some more layers were added.  And some stripyness.  (I think I just made that word up.)  And some orange.  And some white.  Oh and grey too.  In case you can't tell from looking at my pictures yourself.  You're welcome.

Monday's Mix: Well, almost.

 Saturday's sundress.  Wednesday's shorts.  Friday's sandals.

Alright, you got me.  I added a key element to this outfit that was not originally worn last week.
But you know what?  I make the rules.  So I can break the rules.

Ha. Take that, black-and-straw hat.
You're lucky you're so cute and can get away with this kind of stuff.
Other hats may not have been so lucky.

Moday's Mix

One Outfit, Two Ways

H&M menswear shorts.  ModCloth Stack Time Heel.  Soda boat shoes.

Vintage bead necklace.  Vivi Dot Fawn watch necklace.

I love it when separates come together in such a way that you can either dress them up or down.

So here we go:
*boat shoes, piled hair, and low-slung, slouchy shorts for comfy daywear.
*big ol' platforms, a more polished 'do, and a high gathered waist for a lovely summer happy hour.  Hmm, could even wear this at the office too, with a sassy blazer thrown over the white tank.  Yep, that'd work.

What can I say? The possibilities are endless.  Again, I profess--
I love clothes.

Monday's Mix: Let's Romp!

Wednesday's romper.  Tuesday's shoes.  Friday's scarf.

I love rompers because:

They're like a dress, but with holes to put your legs through.
You don't have to worry about coordinating a top and bottom.  Just throw it on and you're set.
If you're feeling creative, you can layer or accessorize the heck out of them.
They are comfortable.  Like a onesie for big kids.
