Rainy Day Blues

Dear Weather,

        I am not sure if you are aware of this fact, but it is July.  You know, summer.

It would be greatly appreciated if you got your act together and 1.) stopped this silly rain and 2.) gave us some sunshine.  I really don't think this is asking too much since it pretty much is your job anyway.  Jerk.

        Thank you for considering my request.  I'm getting bored of taking photos inside.  And wearing cardigans.  And not being able to wear my short (short!) summer dresses out of the house.  Hmm maybe that last one is a blessing in disguise.  

No matter.  I'm over it.

Remember This Dress?

When I first posted this dress a while back, (have no idea what I'm talking about?  here you go) I claimed I would accessorize and wear it a million different ways this summer.

Hmm, it's the middle of July.  Haven't worn it since that fated day in May.  

I better get crackin'.

So here's look number two.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  

The question is, will I really be able to wear this dress even more this summer while still keeping it fresh-looking?  I don't want you guys to be all like, aww man not this dress again.

Challenge accepted.

Put A Bird On It

Dress: ModCloth.  Sweater, porcelain necklace, and shoes: Anthro.
Gap belt and bag.  Vivi Dot Watch Necklace.  

Birds.  They're so in right now.  Apparently so are flexed hands.  Don't know what that's all about.

Wait.  Maybe that's just because I no longer have rehearsals in the afternoon.

I have this theory about dresses.  It goes like this:

They should NOT be worn only for special occasions.

Otherwise, what a waste of both money and a perfectly lovely article of clothing.

Case in point:  This dress came from Anthro around 2005 (or '06? i don't remember.) for a wedding I was attending that summer.

I love it, and if I were to only wait to pull it out of my closet for weddings, that would be sad.

Partly because I would be pictured in the same outfit for every wedding I went to.  Awkward.

But the main reason is this:  

I spent good moneys on this dress, 

it makes me feel pretty, 

and gosh-darn-it I'm going to wear it today because I feel like it. 

So there.

Don't try to stop me.

PS I found my bangs again.
