An Intervention

Knitted & Knotted sweater.  H&M menswear shirt.  Marrakech pants.
Mumsy earrings.  Camper boots.  H&M socks.

That's right.  I'm staging an intervention.  For myself.  There's gonna be a sign and everything.

It's gonna go like this:

You.  Stacie.  Step aWAY from the plaid.  

Slowly, just a few steps at a time.  And no one will get hurt.  I promise.

You can do it, I know you can.  Because I have faith in you.  I mean me. 

But seriously, I'm grounding myself from plaid for the next week.  I'm on the verge of abusing it here on the blog.  Don't believe me?  Take a look at my last 3 posts.  Yep, and this one makes four. Are you kidding me?!  

How embarrassing.

Anything He Can Wear, I Can Wear Better.

Not quite sure what it is about menswear shirts, but they just seem to be calling my name this fall. 

Seems to me that men's departments have all these cool patterns and colors that are simply not present in the women's department.  So my strategy?  Steal from the boys.

Favorite Coat of the Moment: The Plaid Swing

H&M coat, gloves, and dress.  Forever 21 boots.

Does anyone else get excited when it's time to pull out all your winter coats that have been hiding in the basement all summer? (like, all 2 months of it.  right?)

Well, I sure do.  And this plaid swing coat is my favorite right now.  I bought it at the end of the season last year for a steal, and sort of forgot about it over the past few months. 

And now it's my go-to coat.  It just fancifies any boring outfit I layer it over.  That's right, I said fancifies.  (think glorify, but fancy.  Don't judge.  I like to make up words.  That's socially acceptable, right?)  

What would have made a great tale is if I found 20 bucks in the pocket when I rescued it from the depths of downstairs.

But I didn't.  So that's all to my story.  You're welcome.

So I love these shoes.  But they hurt my feet. A lot.  

It's a true story.  A sad true story.  Sigh.

So really this hat is a fedora.  I just turned up the front brim a bit to give it a more hipster feel.
